![]() It's some of the worst voice-acting in a game of this pedigree I've heard in some time, and since you're gonna spend 90% of your time listening to sprites talking to one another in static locales you're gonna be assaulted by these droll, dispassionate deliveries for hours on end with no gameplay or action to offer relief. Godawful English dub - This one can thankfully be circumvented by switching to the Japanese audio, but for people who prefer English voice tracks they are going to be severely disappointed here.And the story sequences are made even worse by the next point. The weird thing is, the battle system is actually really good! Why in god's name does it take such a backseat in a game like this? Did they want to make a visual novel instead? I truly don't understand the intent here. The rest is all very slow-moving cutscenes that attempt to paint a picture of a Game of Thrones-esque fantasy world beset by political discord. Between both demos, I'd say there are about 10 hours of runtime with only maybe one hour of that being battles. ![]() But between the two Triangle Strategy demos I'd say that the structure breaks down to about 90% story sequences and 10% gameplay. As a 13 Sentinels mega-fan, I'm by no means against a game focusing on storytelling when it has a good story to tell. ![]()
